This "Gibson/Epiphone" ES-175D from 1958 is 1 of 114 natural double pickup 175s equipped with PAFs from the Gibson factory that year. Created just a year after Gibson's acquisition of Epiphone in 1957, this guitar has original Epiphone tuners that were then modified by Gibson before its release. While the tuners should have a marked "E" for Epiphone on each tuner, they've been retouched to have a "G" for Gibson. The instrument is in exceptional and original condition, and has that nice full profile we've come to expect from late '50s Gibson necks. The stellar condition of the frets indicates that the instrument itself was more cherished than it was played, and it comes with its original case.
