This Builder's Edition 814ce LTD model just came in, and it sounds and looks amazing. The main highlight is the Adirondack spruce top paired with the Macassar Ebony back and sides, all tied together with this shaded edgeburst top. New next generation inside specs elevate this model to new heights, with a redesigned neck joint, bracing and electronics.

From Taylor: "Upgraded with a rare tonewood combination that yields a highly distinctive acoustic voice, the Custom Builder's Edition 814ce offers a truly singular playing experience. This thoughtfully refined Grand Auditorium pairs an Adirondack spruce top with back and sides of stunning Macassar ebony, an Indonesian hardwood that can adapt beautifully to channel your unique touch. Players can expect robust low-end character with a clear, vibrant treble range and a slight scoop in the midrange, all with impressive power and volume thanks to the Adirondack top and V-Class bracing under the hood. Player-centric features include chamfered body edges, a beveled armrest with a matching cutaway, and ultra-precise Gotoh 510 tuning machines in antique gold. Visually, this model is appointed to complement the striking variegation of the four-piece Simons wedge Macassar back and sides. Details include an ebony Curve Wing bridge, a smoky ebony fretboard, a green abalone rosette with rosewood/maple/black purfling, Element fretboard and peghead inlays, rosewood/maple/black top edge trim, a full-body gloss finish, and a Kona Edgeburst for the back and sides with a shaded edgeburst top."
