An elegant and tasteful double aught from the Martin Custom Shop. 42-style inlays give it just enough bling without being too showy. Extremely comfortable to play, with a beautifully-bookmatched, figured Madagascar back. The winning feature on this instrument, though, is its tone: this piece of Madagascar rosewood sounds incredible, and the Engelmann spruce top was treated with aging toner. (The toner was kept light in color so it's visually unnoticeable and will still appeal to those who prefer the more natural-looking tops.) The hide glue construction is the final element that makes this guitar sound so great.
A pickup was later installed in the guitar. It appears to be an L.R. Baggs Lyric system.
Comes with its original ultra deluxe, Martin Custom Shop hardshell Geib-style case with the embroidered Custom Shop logo. Serial #1686802
