Like all guitars built by Butch Boswell, this 2016 00-12 is imbued with a next level feel and sound, not in the least due to its incredible construction, with Butch being a world class luthier, but also from its construction: Brazilian Rosewood and Alpine spruce.
This 00-12 (12 coming from the joint of the neck meeting the body at the 12th fret instead of the later tradition of the 14th) features, along with its venerable body materials (bound in ebony herringbone), a Honduran Mahogany neck and an African Ebony fretboard and bridge. The bridge is in the later "belly" style. The German spruce bracing is forward shifted, with a single tone bar.
This gorgeous guitar features a 1 3/4 nut width, a 24.9 inch scale length, and a 16 inch radius.
This guitar was featured in the November/December 2016 issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine. Serial #0026 comes with the original hard shell case.
