James "Jimmy" D'Aquisto apprenticed under master luthier John D'Angelico in New York City starting in 1952, and eventually came to be considered one of the greatest archtop builders of our time.
This 7-string blonde archtop has a spruce top and flame maple back and sides. It has a single coil pickup which may or may not have been original but is most certainly vintage, brand unknown. Ebony fingerboard, Schaller tuning machines. The ebony bridge, pickguard and tailpiece were handmade by Jimmy. Serial #1140. Comes with a hardshell case.
