This guitar was custom made for and owned by the legendary, late Tal Farlow. We acquired the instrument from Tal Farlow's wife as a part of his collection of guitars in 2017. Gibson introduced the Tal Farlow factory line model in 1962 and made a total of 215 units, until it was discontinued in 1967. (The model was reissued in 1993.)
This particular Tal Farlow was custom-built for Tal in 1987. It does not have the binding swirl on the cutaway as it was based on the design of his original 1960 prototype. The guitar was one of Tal's main guitars on tour in the late '80s and early '90s. It is all original and is in excellent condition. Comes with its original Gibson hardshell case.
