This lovely little double aught from the Martin Custom Shop was a NAMM Show Special back in 2004. The SS-0041-15 was built with an Adirondack Spruce top with VTS, and Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides. The guitar features the stunning "Tree of Life" design inlaid in Abalone along the entire length of the fretboard, as well as a gorgeous Abalone "Torch" inlay on the headstock. This one is #27 of only 35 made, as is noted on the inside sticker label which was signed by C.F. Martin IV.
The guitar is in excellent condition save for one finish scratch on the back, and one repaired crack on the back. The crack was repaired before the guitar came to us, and our tech has evaluated it and deemed it stable*. The SS-0041-15 has a factory-installed Fishman F1 Aura pickup system.
This instrument is a joy to play and a beauty to behold. We've priced it below market value given the crack, so whoever becomes the new lucky owner will be getting an amazing Martin Custom Shop guitar at a great price.
