Here is an incredible example of guitar history- a 1957 D'Angelico New Yorker, built by John himself.
A native New Yorker, John built guitars featuring Art Deco stylings influenced by the New York City skyline, and is gorgeously appointed. This guitar features a solid spruce top, gorgeous flamed maple back and sides, and ebony appointments, along with gold hardware and a replacement celluloid pickguard.
This guitar features an thin, Blonde finish, having been over sprayed on the back, sides and neck.
This guitar has a lower bout width of 18 inches.
"Spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The back, sides and neck of the guitar have been oversprayed, and the top had a crack repaired. Replacement pickguard. Beautiful woody tone!" ~Rudy Pensa
