A new series from Taylor, this guitar features old-school looks with a different V-class inspired bracing, paired with a variation of the Pacific sized body, with Torrrefied spruce top and Honduran rosewood back and sides.
From Taylor Guitar’s Website: "With a beautifull sunburst top that echoes its old-school acoustic personality, the Gold Label 817e SB offers a bold visual twist on the classic slope-shoulder dreadnought experience. This deeper-bodied Grand Pacific model pairs Honduran rosewood back and sides with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, serving up a richly textured voice with clear trebles, rumbling lows and remarkable warmth across the frequency spectrum. The added body depth unlocks greater low-end expansiveness and projection. Fanned V-Class™ bracing—applied with hot hide glue—enhances volume, sustain and pitch consistency along the entire fretboard. A long-tenon Action Control Neck™ increases resonance and allows for on-the-fly string height adjustments through the soundhole. This model sports the Gold Label Collection’s modified headstock shape with an angled-back design and script-style Taylor logo. A stylized, dual-layer pickguard—with faux-tortoise over ivoroid—features an engraved motif that complements the mother-of-pearl Continental fretboard and peghead inlays. Additional appointments include a single-ring paua rosette, grained ivoroid body binding with ivoroid and Honduran rosewood edge trim, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, and a full-body gloss finish. The Gold Label 817e SB comes equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior."
