What more can be said about the Gibson ES-175 that hasn’t been said already? The most famous jazzbox, this model has been on more album covers and recordings than any other. From players like Jim Hall, Pat Methany, Herb Ellis, Joe Pass, the list goes on and on of ES-175 users. Here is a perfect opportunity to pick up a players grade example that plays like butter thanks to the '61 profile neck and a great set-up by our in-house techs.

This ES-175 sounds great and very versatile with help from a SD Seth Lover in the neck and a Gibson Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. A players/gig friendly guitar, this ES-175 has a repaired headstock crack and some binding repair on the bass side near the last five frets. This example has had a refret, and the electronics, pickguard, bridge, nut, tuners and knobs replaced. The ABR-1 bridge is most likely from the late 60's and the wiring harness is thought to be from a late 70's ES-175, although the can shielding makes reading the pot date codes hard. Cosmetically it is in great shape with nice lacquer checking to the original finish, with the most wear shown in the provided photos. Serial #33288, comes with a non original TKL case.
