Fender 1953 Esquire, Blackguard #3515
One of the most sought after guitars of all time, this '53 Blackguard Esquire a part of rock n roll history. A single bridge pickup wired to a volume and tone control, these early blackguard examples are often noted for inspiring different playing styles than even a comparable Tele. This example came in and we were delighted to find it to be one of the most original examples we have seen come through our shop. This ’53 is all original besides replaced screws for the pickguard and control plate, making it a once in a lifetime opportunity for any serious player.
It is in great shape, with lacquer checking and playwear throughout, shown in the provided photos. It features a Tadeo Gomez neck pencil date of 5-14-53, and a wiring harness cavity Mary-signed 5-15-53. Pot codes are dated 21st week of '52. Comes with the original case and bridge cover, serial #3515.
