This Stratocaster is equipped with a trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound '54 pickups, recreating the legendary tone of early Strats. The bridge pickup has plenty of bite for searing leads, while the neck pickup delivers warm, round tone perfect for jazz and blues. The middle pickup brings a quacky funkiness. With the 5-way switching, you can blend the pickups to craft iconic in-between Strat tones.
Quartersawn Maple Neck For Stability and Sustain
The 70th Anniversary '54 Stratocaster relic has a quartersawn maple neck for exceptional stability and sustain. Quartersawn wood minimizes shifting and warping, providing a straight neck that plays true up and down the fingerboard. The C-shaped profile is comfortable and familiar, with a 9.5" radius that's ideal for chords and soloing. The quartersawn maple fingerboard further enhances sustain.
Vintage-Style Hardware Stays True to Leo's Design
This 70th Anniversary Stratocaster relic stays faithful to the original with vintage-style hardware. It has Fender's classic synchronized tremolo bridge for expressive string bending, as well as vintage-style tuning machines. The control layout follows the original early '50s spec, with a 5-way pickup selector switch, master volume and individual tone controls for the neck and middle pickups.
