This 1961 Fender Duo Sonic is in almost all original condition, all the way from the gorgeous Brazilian rosewood fingerboard to the lightweight alder body, in classic Desert Sand finish - the most sought after of the Duo Sonic colors.
The nut width is narrower than normal, at 1 5/8", but this guitar is surprisingly intuitive to play, even to those with big hands. The pots date to the middle of 1960, but the guitar wasn't completed until March of 1961. The neck has been previously oversprayed, but over the original finish to compensate for some checking.
The body has a couple dings here and there, as is to be expected with a guitar of this age. There is checking as well.
This guitar has the shorter 22.5" scale length.
Serial #39212. Comes with the original Tolex case.
