The highest quality mandolin ever made by Gibson, the F-5 was put on the map by Lloyd Loars famous F-5 rebuild design, which incorporated upgrade internal bracing, scroll cutaway and f-hole design. This '62 year example has seen some serious playing, and sounds better for it! It has a wonderful sweet sound, and the satin neck makes lines wicked fast.
This F-5 has been fully refinished, missing pickguard, replaced tuners, refretted, replaced nut. The final 6 fret slots have been filled. It was revoiced, regraduated and rebuilt by Jonathan McClanahan, a well known mandolin maker and restorationist. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition.
