A smaller, but still professional guitar of its time, the L-30 was a short lived archtop guitar, one of the newer f-hole designs coming from Gibson in the 30's. Essentially an L-00 with an arched top, these all solid guitars are great for anyone looking for 30's archtop tone without spending 30's archtop money.
These guitars came in two colors at this period, sunburst and black, the black being well known as the first guitar blues legend BB King ever played, and this example from 1937 has all of the bluesy/jazzy attitude you could want.
Carved spruce top with birch or maple back and sides. Neck is a nice hard V shape, with a 1 3/4" nut width. This example has had a repaired top crack on the treble side f-hole, and the back bracing has loose braces. Includes the original case.
