One of the most tried and true models in existence, the J-45 is the quintessential workhorse. No frills but endless tone. This J-45 is not different, hailing all the way from 1953. Being over 70 years old now, this J-45 still packs a punch and some recent work dont makes it ready for many more years of playing. Nice saddle height and finish work makes this one easy to play. This example has had a professional refin with a nice two tone sunburst applied and looks to be a great reproduction of what would have been on at the time/some bound areas are reglued/touched up on top and back binding. The back appears to have been removed previously, the bridge plate is replaced, tone bars removed and glued to a new location, center seam added to the top behind bridge plate and there has been a neck reset. The bridge pins are placed and the plastic buttons have been replaced. Serial #6296-34, comes with a non original case.
