A player that has probably seen many gigs, this '67 Gibson ES-355 is still kickin and then some! The flagship thinline ES model, the ES-355 is noted for its ebony board, upgraded binding, headstock inlay, gold hardware and varitone switch. It really was meant for the most serious of players, and as a result is far more rare than a standard ES-335 of its era. This one has had quite a few changes but remains a remarkably great sounding guitar with a great bite.
This example has had a refret, rewired harness, replaced bridge pickup, pickguard and an added Bigsby. The Varitone has been bypassed and a mono output jack installed , some finish work done around the new binding by the heel of the neck, two holes plugged on the bass side horn and electronic cavities added to the back.Serial #891906, comes with a non original case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details and repairs & changes of note.
