A faithful recreation if not slightly '60s in nature, the late '60s reissue of the Les Paul Custom featured a return to form of the famous 'Black Beauty' Les Pauls of the '50s. Now loaded with Patent Sticker pickups, a slimmer neck but the standard 1 11/16" nut width, this guitar has become nearly as sought after as it's older siblings. It absolutely sings and has a lovely bite and growl thanks to the T-Top pickups and ebony fingetboard.
This guitar does have a maple cap with a mahogany body, a bit atypical to the '50s Les Paul Black Beauty's. This guitar has had the treble side wing reglued/refinished at one point, finish repair around 9-12th fret on back of the neck. The original pot codes are dated the 52nd week of 1968. The pickguard screws and knobs are replaced. It's in great shape with normal lacquer checking, and a few nicks and dings, with the most notable ones shown clearly in the provided photos. Serial #603137, comes with a non original case.
