Gibson c.1972 ES-340, Walnut
A rare bird indeed, the ES-340 never really caught on the same way its eldest sibling the ES-335 did. Touted as a new and improved version, in hind sight some of the upgrades made it not as desirable for vintage collectors. But these models have been getting the attention they deserve! These ES models were the first to switch to a 3-piece maple neck, with a unique wiring although this one has been changed to standard ES-335 style wiring harness. It sounds amazing thanks to the stock patent sticker T-Tops, versatile and with an added chime. Super clean and mean, don't miss out on this one!
This example has replaced tuners, a replaced tailpiece but remains original besides these changes. It appears to have had a factory Bigsby but has been changed to a repro trapeze tailpiece. Serial #137535, comes with the original case. Weighs 8.6lbs. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
