Fender 1961 Telecaster, Natural Refin
A rare bird that we don't often get in, this early '61 Fender Tele is still rocking and has a lot to give still. With an old refin, it probably didn’t make it out of the 70's with it's original finish as it seemed all the rage to make Strat and Tele's natural finishes, go figure! Still, a slabboard Brazilian fingerboard and original bridge pickup have all the pre-CBS Tele sound you could ever want. This example has had a refin to the body and a neck has been oversprayed. The neck pickup has been replaced. Pot codes dated 36th week of 1960, with a C neck profile that measures .794"/1st and .969"/12th. Serial #61186, comes with a vintage but non original hardcase. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details and repairs & changes of note.
