Made with authentic vintage specifications right up in Lewiston, Maine, Bourgeois HS guitars are designed with the vintage guitar enthusiast in mind. Starting with the top, this guitar is equipped with a hand-voiced Adirondack Spruce top. It has a dark and rich sunburst finish applied to the top, further enhancing the old-school flare this instrument brings to any jam session. Constructed with East Indian Rosewood back and sides, this guitar has a powerful, full-range, responsive feel, ideal for bluegrass and flat-picking styles! A modern drop-in style saddle is paired with an Ebony bridge, bringing just a bit of modern convenience to this vintage-inspired design. The neck on this D-style guitar is made of Mahogany and paired with an Ebony fingerboard. Additionally, the whole guitar is glued up with Animal Protein glue, further adding to this instrument's vintage character and sound. In addition to the excellent specs that come right from the factory on all Bourgeois HS instruments, the previous owner of this guitar installed a K&K Pure Mini pickup in this guitar. The K&K Pure Mini is one of our favorite pickups for acoustic instruments because it faithfully reproduces the acoustic voice of any guitar through an amplifier or soundboard, without any need for a battery or phantom power. Just great, passive, hassle-free acoustic tone, right on tap. Just plug in a quarter in and you're off to races!
