Developed in late 2011 by Pensa Custom, the Soho Custom was designed as a streamlined version of the Mark Knopfler’s original Pensa-Suhr MK-1 model. Featuring a swamp ash body, Lindy Fralin P-90s, '55 neck, Hipshot tremolo, and gold hardware, the guitar immediately impressed Knopfler and was later gifted to him by Rudy Pensa. It became one of his favorite instruments and was used extensively on his final three tours.Following its onstage use, Pensa formalized the spec as the Soho Custom in Blue Ice Metallic finish.
