Spec'd out with only the most premium tonewoods and top-of-the-line appointments, every PRS Private Stock guitar is made to be special, and this guitar is no exception - just look at that ONE PIECE top! Yup, that's right folks, you won't find a seam anywhere on that stunningly quilted maple top. All the gorgeous figuring comes from a single piece of maple, which is beautifully highlighted by the guitar's dreamy blue-green Ice Mist transparent finish. The quilted top also crates the appearance of wood binding, as the edges of the maple top have been finished naturally.
Constructed with a gorgeous premium mahogany body and neck, this guitar is very resonant and sustains beautifully. The ebony fretboard plays effortlessly, and is made even more beautiful by the stunning signature PRS bird inlays. Additionally, the back of this guitar is finished naturally, highlighting the beautiful grain of the mahogany. PRS explains that all Private Stock guitars are "carefully conceived and built with a 'one-off' mentality," and in that spirit, this guitar has a small custom dragon abalone inlay on the back, ordered specifically by the original owner.
Breath-taking looks aside, this guitar is equipped with top-notch hardware and electronics. Loaded with PRS 59/09TM pickups, the guitar captures vintage PAF-style tones in spades, infused with the clarity and bite PRS guitars are renowned for. Locking PRS tuners, an ultra-smooth Gen II PRS tremolo system, and a myriad of other fantastic appointments make for a truly inspiring playing experience.
