Here's an exquisite, used classical guitar- complete with Brazilian rosewood for its back and sides, and a gorgeous cedar top. This instrument carries the distinguished legacy of of its maker Jose Oribe, one of America's foremost classical guitar builders. With a career marked by unparalleled craftsmanship, Oribe's guitars have taken a place in a lesser known capacity than contemporaries, but have been the preferred choice of esteemed musicians and instructors worldwide, including Aaron Shearer and others. Jose Oribe is over 90 years old and no longer building. His legacy is not renowned world wide, but those folks lucky enough to have played or owned an instrument of his know that his legacy as one of the great luthiers of the last 100 years is secure.
This guitar is in good condition, with fingernail marks in the expected places, especially on the treble side of the top, with marks in the wood. There is also a scratch from string changing some time in the past. There has been a repaired crack in the back, but is stable and only cosmetic now.
This guitar comes with the original hard shell case with case cover.

Back and sides are Brazilian rosewood. Soundboard is Western red cedar. Neck is genuine mahogany with ebony reinforcement. Fingerboard is black ebony. Machines are bronze-cast, 24k gold-plated by Irving Sloane.
