Taylor's Builder's Edition Grand Pacific 717e looks ultra-traditional but is loaded with future facing advancements for a larger body shape. The 717e BE was built around Andy Power's revolutionary V-Class bracing and retains cherished elements of dreadnaught and jumbo guitars of the past - but gone is the impractical "woof" from the bass end of the acoustic tone. The bracing helps regulate the guitar's vibration to produce louder volume and longer-lasting sustain, translated beautifully to electrified settings with Taylor's proprietary Expression System 2 electronics. Because the 717e is a Builder's Edition it sports comfort enhancing options that are immediately apparent while playing: Rounded edges of the body and fretboard, a softened "Spanish style" heel, a compound carve on the neck for a more traditional neck feel, a "Silent Satin" finish, and softened edges of the bridge all combine to make this guitar the perfect marriage of tradition and progress. The Builder's Edition 717e has East Indian Rosewood back and sides and a torrified spruce top. It comes in either natural or Wild Honey Burst, includes an ES2 preamp and deluxe hard shell case.
"With a satin finish and chamfered binding, this is the most comfortable dreadnaught available. A great singer songwriter guitar, with a boisterous bottom end and ringing highs." - Ian, Taylor Guitars Expert at Rudy's Music
