When natural finishes were all the rage, these late 70's/early '80s models have a special place in Fender history. These ash bodies have their own look and sound, and this one is a great sounding Strat. This example appears all original, with the caveat being it appears to have a large headstock not normally seen post '81, with '81 electronics and a '82 neck stamp, stamped in the style seen on Dan Smith era Strats. Pickups are plastic bobbins with the X-1 bridge pickup normally seen on Dan Smith era Strats. Serial #S997984, comes with the original case, however the interior was replaced.
