The so called 'Banner' guitars, Gibson made these lovely WWII era guitars with some out of character specs that yielded some of the best acoustics of their time. Take for example the all mahogany body, which produces a sweet and barking sound, and a large neck really moves that top well. It has a wonderful sound, unlike any other J-45 offered before or after WWII. It has had numerous repairs but it in great shape with alot of nice lacquer checking throughout.
This example has replaced tuner buttons, reglues bridge and new saddle. It has top/back/side cracks previously repaired, neck reset, new bridge plate, replaced bridge pins, fingerboard repaired at the 9th fret. The neck is a large C profile that measures 1.033"/1st and 1.094"/9th. Serial #2454, comes with a non original case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details and repairs & changes of note.
