The Jazzmaster is slowly becoming more and more sought after in the world of vintage Fenders, due mostly to its incredible sound, but also a more sophisticated feel and playability than its non-offset counterparts.
This is a gorgeous Fender Jazzmaster from very late 1965, stamped November of that year, right before Fender made the switch to the CBS style headstock, thus the interesting combination of dot inlays, binding, and a Pre-CBS style headstock, an extreme rarity. All components of this guitar are original save a single volume pot in the lead circuit. It plays fantastically, with the original wide style frets still having plenty of purchase.
There is a fair amount of wear toward the edges of the body, with noticeable patches of finish missing, but it adds to the vintage Fender character that we've all come to know and love. They can't all be closet classics! Some of them had to be played and loved. In our experience, the ones played in are often the best ones! This guitar is great, and we know you'll love it as soon as you try it. Serial #130571 comes with a non-original hard shell case.
