One of Gibson's most acclaimed models of all time, the L-00 stands as the perfect blend of craftsmanship with wartime austerity. Originally sold as a budget/student model, these L-00 featured X-braced design with the newly invented truss rod and a tasteful spruce top with mahogany back and sides. Being from the '30s, this example features a distinctly V-shaped neck which is comfy to play even with the 1 3/4" nut width. Perfect saddle height and neck angle make for a enjoyable playing experience and this L-00 sounds wonderful and perfectly broken in. It has honest wear throughout and a fixed crack by the bridge. This guitar had had the bridge replaced and the bridge plate appears to be two pieces. It comes a non original chipboard case.
