How much cooler could this guitar get? A Gibson L-5C, this fully acoustic guitar is made more modern with a sleek cutaway. It has a beautiful sound and the carved spruce top, solid maple back and sides make it a real nice player. The flame maple back and sides look absolutely killer on this model, and its clear that Gibson was proud to make this L-5, one of the top of the line models offered at the time. This example has overspray to most of the finish, a refret, replaced pickguard and bridge. There is binding repair in the cutaway, shown in the photos. The label inside is torn and the serial written inside does not match with the time period of this guitar. Based on the headstock inlay, construction and hardware, we have determined this model to be made somewhere between 1951-55. Serial #A207, comes with the original case.
