Just arrived: from 1954, a single pickup version of the iconic Gibson ES-175! This tried and true archtop model has been on countless recordings, a fully laminate 16” jazzbox made famous by players like Jim Hall, Joe Pass, Pat Methany and many others. These early ‘50s examples are loud and acoustic, and the stock P-90 captures that sounds perfectly. This one has a decent amount of playwear but it is an absolute joy to play, plugged or acoustic for practicing.
This example has had a refret and four repaired side cracks, shown in the provided photos. The neck profile is a slight V shape that becomes a medium C further up the neck, measuring .886"/1st and .979"/12th, weighs in at 5.4lbs. Factory order #X7515_3, comes with the a non original case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details and repairs & changes of note.
