Well, this is a first. There are rare birds and then there's this: a factory original finish Sonic Blue Strat from '61 featuring the iconic neck shape and feel. With Custom Color's far more rare in pre-CBS examples, Sonic Blue was already one of the more elusive colors. There are few parallels in vintage pieces to how cool this one is, that plays just as good as it looks with the perfect amount of wear as well. The frets are in great shape with lots of playability. This example is in 100% original condition, with a neck profile measuring .806"/1st and .990/12th. The neck is dated 4-61 and the pot codes dated 14th week of 1961. Serial #61820, comes with the original case. Weighs 7.66lbs. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition.
