The lesser known sibling of the J-45, the J-50 is known by those in the know as a natural topped version of the J-45. As a result, it has a distinct look as a slope shouldered 60's Gibson acoustic. The mahogany back and sides add a nice warmness to the lows and mids, and the result is a lovely vintage Gibson acoustic. It has a neck profile that measures .806"/1st and .951" by the 9th fret. This example has a reglued bridge, reglued pickguard and the wings of the bridge are beginning to lift again, the bolts under the dot inlays are securing the bridge. Serial #850847, comes with a non original case.
