This Style A-1 is a beautiful example of one of master luthier John D'Angelico's simpler archtop models. Although the A-1 was a less expensive offering from John's list of designs, it carries every bit of the legacy and quality expected from a line of guitars that has been historically regarded as some of the best ever produced.

Spruce top, flame maple back and sides, ebony fretboard and bridge. The pickguard is new, as is common from guitars of this era. This guitar was refretted and restored by the late, legendary luthier Giuliano Balestra. It was originally made for "Moresco" (aka Moresco Bros. of Bridgeport, CT) and was completed on 10/13/38, as is detailed in D'Angelico's ledger.

Serial #1369. Comes with a non-original deluxe hardshell case.
