Here’s a cool one, a late 40's Ampro Model 690 that was converted to a guitar amp with a preamp added. This was apparently modded with a early Tweed Princeton preamp, and 5E3 Deluxe circuit output. A bright switch and a boost switch were also added. Putting out a solid 14-18 watts, it has a great warm sound at lower volumes but breaks up beautifully when pushed. Weighs in about 15-20lbs, great for gigging. The speaker is a replaced Jensen C12Q speaker.
