The D'Angelico New Yorker is a true New York icon, designed and built by master luthier John D'Angelico, and this, a 1960 D'Angelico New Yorker, built by John himself, is a true masterpiece. A native of New York, John build his guitars to be inspired by the Art Deco stylings of the New York City skyline, and this particular example is gorgeously appointed. This guitar features a solid spruce top, gorgeous flamed maple back and sides, and ebony appointments, along with gold hardware and a replacement celluloid pickguard.
This guitar also features a vintage DeArmond 1100 pickup, a staple of jazz players worldwide. This guitar features an incredible sunburst finish, in thin vintage nitro. This guitar has a lower bout width of 18 inches. Serial #2108 comes with w/ cord for DeArmond S1100 and a non-original hardshell Case.
