We normally don't sell used amplifiers, but we loved this Divided by 13 amp so much, we made an exception. Functioning like a Master Volume on class A operation, this all-tube amp offers two very distinct voices. The power section is driven by two KT88 tubes, and the preamp is driven by both 12AX7 and 12AT7 tubes. It has a tube rectifier and a lush tube driven spring reverb as well. At lower volumes this amp delivers classic "blackface" California-style cleans, and when turned up loud it starts to snarl like iconic British amplifiers. The volume control has pull-activated boost function as well, allowing players to hit the front end even harder to really push this amp into full-blown hi-gain saturation. This amp does it all, from bell-like cleans, to edge of break-up territory, all the way through countless shades of tube amp growl. 

Option to purchase with a vintage Variac - a transformer that allows you to precisely turn down the AC voltage running into the amp from the standard 120 volts to a lower value. Used by players like Eddie Van Halen to push amps into searing distortion at lower volumes, Variac transformers are very handy for dialing in hi-gain tones without upsetting the neighbors! For best results with this device, we recommend running the amp in class AB/A mode and setting the Variac between 55 and 120, or full power output.
