This is a great Ovation 1759 Legend series 12 string, one of the higher end offerings from the manufacturer known for creating the first major line of stage oriented guitars, aimed at players that were looking for comfortable, lightweight, feedback resistant guitars that were designed to sound good plugged in: having essentially invented the piezo pickup found in many guitars today. This electric forward ideology often led to guitars being less than ideal in acoustic settings, but this 12-string certainly doesn't suffer from that.
The top is particularly resonant, and the molded plastic sides add a centered, fundamental heavy tone that's actually quite pleasing. The spruce top is finished in a great looking amber finish, and the pearloid inlays give a classy, high end look. The rosette is a pop-in piece of plastic, but it looks great and gives a classical like feel to the design. The action is great, and the guitar is strung with a set of 12-String Extra Light D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings. The guitar is in great condition, and the pickup works great.
There is a rubber sheet glued to the waist on the treble side to prevent slipping when played sitting down.
Serial #445498 comes with the original hard shell case.
