A rare archtop made in very small production numbers, the Boston-made Stromberg guitars are a fascinating answer to D'Angelico, Gibson and Epiphone archtops of the time. With a unique sound, it has its own look and feel with great projection for this 17" cutaway model. This guitar is interesting for its short scale length: 23 5/8" and 1 5/8" nut width, perhaps ahead of its time for fast playing. It is in excellent condition for its age and appears to be in all original condition, besides a replaced more modern bridge. The headstock face has some shrinkage but it so far stable and remains playable. Serial #635, comes with the original case.
