Now, we're partnering with the Fender Custom Shop to recreate the glory of that guitar, as well as a whole series of the vintage Fender guitars we know and love, combining modern playability with vintage vibe, and trying to recreate these guitars as they would have left the factory in their original production year.
Continuing our love affair with offsets, our perfect world Jazzmaster: a Custom Color, early 60's Jazzmaster with a matching headstock, is meant to be a modern fusion of vintage style/sound with modern accessibility, most notably with its 9.5" radius and 6105 Narrow Tall wire. Everything else is how it should've come from the factory in 1962, down to the lightweight alder body, maple neck with an incredible slab board, vintage Kluson style gold tuners, a flawless offset tremolo (the best there is) and 60's style Custom Shop hand-wound Jazzmaster pickups, plus gold hardware to boot! The neck is an extremely pleasant C shape.
Fans of vintage Fenders might notice one thing: the stark white maple neck, which we're used to seeing in it's aged amber form, but we've had this guitar recreated here as if you've just bought a new Fender for the first time in 1962, brand new to you. Imagine what it must have been like taking home your brand new Fender Jazzmaster for the first time in the 1960's, having no idea what to expect. That's the feeling we're trying to capture.
Serial #R127920 comes with a Fender Custom Shop hardshell case.
