Arguably one of the most influential jazz guitarists, Wes Montgomery made his mark with his warm tone, octave melodic lines and beautiful arrangements. His tried and true guitar was a L-5C with a single humbucker, and this example is as close as you can get to recreating that original sound. Loaded with a real PAF humbucker, this guitar started life as a L-5C fully acoustic model and at some point probably a long long time ago was modded with a real PAF. It was done professionally and the guitar still has a great unplugged sound. This guitar has had a refret, replaced nut. The internal label is obscured, nut the FON dates this example to a 1960 model. It comes with the original Lifton case.
