This guitar was custom made for and owned by the legendary, late Tal Farlow. We acquired this guitar from Tal Farlow's wife as a part of his collection of guitars in 2017. Gibson introduced the Tal Farlow factory line model in 1962 and made a total of 215 units, until it was discontinued in 1967. (The model was reissued in 1993.)
This particular Tal Farlow was custom-built for Tal in 1996. It features the signature binding swirl on the cutaway and is a visual and sonic knockout. It was used extensively on tour in the U.S., Canada, and Europe as well as being the go-to guitar for Tal at home, both for practice and jamming with visitors. This guitar has not been modified and is in excellent condition. Comes with its original Gibson hardshell case.
