Introducing the Gibson ES-140 3/4 Model Archtop Hollow body Electric Guitar from 1952, made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It has a beautiful sunburst lacquer finish and features a laminated maple body, a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and comes with its original brown hard shell case.
This Gibson ES-140 is an incredibly cool and surprisingly great sounding guitar. It's a smaller-sized archtop, originally designed by Gibson for students, or anyone who wanted a compact, fully hollow guitar. Despite its small size, it's a professional-quality instrument with a comfortable round-profile neck, a single P-90 pickup, and simple yet elegant design. These guitars punch way above their weight.
This ES-140 has a warm and present tone, despite its smaller body cavity, partially in thanks to the original '50s dogear P90. It plays beautifully and produces a big, powerful sound that you wouldn't expect from such a small guitar.
The scale length is 23 inches (584 mm), and the width of the nut is 1 5/8 inches (41 mm).
It's in very clean and original condition with only minor signs of wear. Replacement tuners are in the case, but the originals are installed currently.
No Serial #, comes w/ the original brown hard shell case that is also in excellent condition.
