Originally a 'student model', the L-48 was designed as an all laminate archtop, made to compete with other budget archtop models of the time. This '53 L-48 was made at the hight of the acoustic archtop craze, and is in great shape. These early 50's laminates have a surprisingly responsive top and good projection. The top is made even more unique by being a mahogany top.

This example has replaced tuners, bridge & pickguard. Serial #Y4608_23, comes with the original deluxe Lifton case. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
