This is one of the cleanest vintage acoustic guitars we have ever seen. This is a 1966 Gibson Hummingbird that looks like it's fresh out of the factory, and is in perfect condition save for a single glued center seam split. These mahogany dreadnoughts were of of the most sought after models in Gibson's production around this point, being incredibly resonant and highly sought after songwriting and performing guitars.
We have rarely ever seen finish that's as clean as this. There are maybe one or two dings that look like something was in the case accidentally, but other than that it's still perfectly shiny. The Cherry Sunburst is also not faded at all, unheard of for guitars of this age. Finish this clean is like winning the lottery. This guitar has a 1-9/16ths nut, mahogany back and sides, spruce top, an adjustable saddle, Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge, and no additional installations.
Serial #406115 comes with the original hardshell case.
