The Gibson L-5 is one of the most iconic guitar designs of all time. Designed by venerable Gibson acoustic engineer Lloyd Loar in the early '20s, the L-5 is absolutely the standard of jazz guitar playing and is recognized worldwide for its association with numerous guitar players, such as Scotty Moore (Elvis), Hank Garland (Nashville legend), Pat Martino, Django Reinhardt, Lee Ritenour, and more.
This is an incredibly clean example from 1968 and has been examined, cleaned, and set up to the best degree by our in-house techs.
This guitar is reflective of the changes in Gibson's production of the L5 in the mid 60's, with the narrower, 1 9/16ths nut, the Florentine cutaway, laminate construction, Patent sticker humbuckers, and 4 knob, in body wiring.
This guitar is likely all original, and is in incredible condition. Barely any marks on the body, neck, or board. The frets are still present, with low action and no buzzes. Serial #528366. Comes with the original case.
