This Gibson Custom Shop Reissue 1959 Korina Flying V is every bit as cool as one would imagine, evoking the winged and aerodynamic style of the automobile industry in the 1950's. With attention to detail down to the skid pad on the lower wing to keep it from sliding off your leg (this never worked, even in the '50s! Hold it between your legs or stand up and rock!) and the flying wing shaped string retainer panel, to 1959 spec fret wire (slightly larger than 1958 spec) and the string ferrules buried deep in the body. This amber beauty is extremely playable with its comfortable '59 style neck and impeccable fretwork, low action and light, striking body. This one is sure to keep you up all night.
This example is extremely clean. There are few cosmetic marks from use, and a small abrasion by the neck heel (pictured), but in fine order otherwise.
