Martin 1996 D-41 #571370 w/OHSC
The D-41 is a really special model, combining the classic Martin dreadnought tone with beautiful inlay work. Sharing many appointments with the D-45, this high-end Martin is visually striking without being overly flashy. Constructed with a Sitka spruce top, an East Indian rosewood back and sides, and scalloped bracing, this guitar has powerful and balanced tone, perfect for a wide range of styles. The top, rosette and fretboard are inlaid with abalone. This guitar has a room-filling sound and looks great doing it!
This example from 1996 is in great shape. In 2015, it had some expert repairs performed by a certified Martin warranty repair center: neck reset, new bridge of the same style and size (whose reglue was very tidy and is practically undetectable), and a reglue of some loose binding on the fingerboard. Our tech performed a section of headstock binding reglue when we acquired the guitar. It plays beautifully and is free of any issues, and has never had any cracks. The repairs have held up perfectly and will continue to remain stable with the proper care that required for all acoustic guitars (humidifying during winter if you live in a moderate-cold climate).
