This is a gorgeous 2000 Rickenbacker Model 381, that has one of the coolest pieces of maple ever, sprayed with an incredible sunburst finish. One of Rickenbacker's most iconic models, the 381 is a semi hollow guitar with hand carved back and and top in incredible flamed maple, adorned with Toaster Top pickups that have an incredible clear sound that's right out of the 60's in all the best ways.
The neck is a nice comfortable C profile, and feels nice and vintage, being a little larger than most modern guitars, but it feels absolutely right on this guitar. The fretboard is a nice piece of rosewood, with Rick's signature triangle inlays. The whole guitar has gorgeous binding all round, from the body to the neck. The pickguard is a great double layer pickguard signature to these guitars.
This Rickenbacker is in excellent, if not better than, condition. It has only minor scratches and dings, and the frets show little wear with plenty of life left. The truss rods are working as they should. Serial #0023851 comes with the original case.
