Danelectro was one of the more widely available and well known manufacturers from the mid 20th century, known for their inexpensive guitars and amplifiers that were used by many artists across all genres. Founded in 1947, the company manufactured two main brands of guitars mainly made of Masonite and poplar, Danelectro and Silvertone (for Sears). Despite their popularity, the company eventually closed in 1969, after having made a considerable percentage of many people in the nation's first guitars.
This 60's Silvertone amp is an incredible example of the quality 60's mail order style amps and guitars can be- it's loud, sounds great, and is all original. This amp is fairly clean up until a good breakup around noon or so. The three different channels are all essentially the same, with the mic channel being slightly more transparent.
This amp is in great condition, with only some minor tearing on the grille cloth. The tubes are original.
No serial number. Local pickup only due to size and weight.
